As I stand here all alone
Looking at myself in the mirror,
I see only the ugliness,
That you let me know is there.
I cry in the night’s darkness
Tears flowing down my face.
Cold from the lack of warmth
That you can never share.
Shivering and Alone…
I pound my fists into the reflection.
Pieces shattering…
Falling to the floor…
Where my confidence and self-worth fade
Into the vastness of oblivion.
To exist…. Nevermore.
